Tang Soo Do is a traditional Korean martial art. The Scotland club needed a new website with a solid, trustworthy feel to reflect the club’s established history and serious approach to training. They also needed a roller banner and flyers designed to advertise the club to new students

Website & marketing materials
There was no existing branding in place at all, so the logo and colour scheme are based on the Moo Duk Kwan fist emblem, widely used in the context of Tang Soo Do, packed with meaningful symbolism related to the sport. The particular asset used in the logo is from the UK Tang Soo Do Federation, which TSD Scotland is affiliated with.

Website, flyers and banners, Barbara has done it all for us and I couldn’t be happier with the results. She’s always been incredibly helpful and efficient, with a quick turn-around with work. Would definitely recommend her.
The deep blue main brand colour, accented by red for buttons and smaller elements, is similar (although not identical) to the UKTSDF’s brand colours, to further strengthen the identity and user recognition of UK Tang Soo Do as a whole.
A challenge I faced during this design process was the lack of high quality photography available. To show how dynamic this sport is, with its fly kicks and all ages training together, it was essential to show interesting images to entice new students. I used a combination of colour overlays on low quality images, and cutouts of a few higher quality ones, framed by sharp, colourful graphic elements to make the designs as varied and enticing as possible.
